So, a bunch of stuff happened

but the only thing that matters is that Tony is a bad guy!!!

Jack figured it out and had a gun pointed at him. His best friend. And then the bio weapon kicks in and he has a seizure. Falls to the ground. Tony walks away. With Jack's hypodermic needle and drugs. Sad. Sad.

There is a larger group involved than just the evil corporation and Tony is part of the big picture. We all have been set up.

It's too much.

The Big Read

So I did The Big Read and found myself liking the book, Old School, more than I expected. While the high school boys in New England boarding school and hints of class issues seemed typical and predictable, the focus on literature and writing was interesting.

In the Reader"s Guide, Tobias Wolff on the human purpose of Fiction;

Fiction gives us a place to stand outside ourselves and see our lives somehow being carried on, to see the form that our lives take in some apprehensible way. Most of the time, experience washes over us moment by moment, in a way that makes it difficult to discern the form in lives - the consequences that choices have that will only appear years later, in many cases. Fiction show us those things in a kind of apprehensible form and something we can comprehend and see, and actually feel. We kind of see our lives almost acted out in front of us in miniature. And that's both exciting and also often very chastening, I think.

Fortunately, I ended up with a day off today.

Unfortunately, it was because I still can't talk and our fearless manager wants to try running the building on a Sunday with only 2 IS/YS.

So, I actually read the paper and found some interesting things.

One of the industries in which America leads the world and proves we still manufacture things is processed food, beverage and tobacco products. A $175 billion industry employing 1.7 million Americans.

And along that line in the coupons I found out you can now personalize M&M's with photos!!!! Here

Yay us!

It seems there is now a push for what some call "outdoor education." Kids don't or don't know how to play outdoors. Do we have so many planned activities and rules, even in video games, that kids and parents don't know that going outdoors involves, or use to, involve no rules. Or very simple rules. Swim in the water. Run in the fields. Imagine you are whatever you want. Even read outside and feel the sun on your skin. Bubbles. Kites. Look at bugs. Maybe I should make a booklist of great books to read outside. Charlotte's Web. Tom Sawyer.

On Feb. 26 something called the "Aluminum Show" is coming to the Leid Center. It features dancers fusing industrial materials and movement to make a luminous and reflective extravaganza. It seems like that would have been a good Earth Week event.

Didn't see that coming

So last week, who cares - avoided the standoff, Tony gets inside the warehouse, Jack finds out some stem cell treatment may save him which confirms the rumors they will bring back his estranged daughter Kim.(I love that word 'estranged')

This week - you only thought you knew what was going to play out.
The evil corporation leader tries to blackmail the President. Tony helps the FBI blow up the missiles with the bio weapons. Kim arrives and has tearful reunion with Jack. Jack tells her to leave so she won't see him die. He can't take it. Tony survives the blast. But, wait, there's some guy with a canister. The FBI with Tony tracks him. A little altercation and the FBI guy is hit. So far, so expected.

But then, Noooooooooo!!!!!!

Tony smothers the FBI guy! Tony takes the canister! Tony was working with the guy with the canister! How did this happen! What?!!?!?!!! Where do we go from here?

It ends with a nice little PSA featuring Chloe telling us we must help stop global warming because Jack can't do everything. Not how I expected to see Chloe again. Will Chloe be back in the storyline?

How did it know this was my meltdown week?

Horoscope for today or the last 6 months?

Do you have a lot to do today? Well, the first thing you need to know is that you will get a lot more accomplished if you just accept things the way they are -- instead of wasting time complaining that they are not what you want them to be. Just deal with the resources you have -- they may not be enough, but you are never going to have everything you need. Luckily, you have enough ingenuity and creativity to improvise. You need this pressure to rise to your great potential.

I think I need to frame it.
