Had to drive to another town

But I finally saw Frost/Nixon. Fascinating!

And on DVD - WALL*E. Those Pixar people are amazing.

Coffee-Ring Snowflake

This was an advertisement block on some web page and I was addicted for a while. It showed up again someplace else and this time I found a link.

Hopefully, this won't jinx it

I was telling someone at work yesterday that there was no logical reason that I was not sick. Stressed, tired and all kinds of stuff going around. Me, not sick. (Stressed and tired starting to get better.)

As much as I hate winter, I won't say this one has been bad. I have power. I don't have inches of ice.

Sometimes you just have to be thankful.

Product Placement

Tony takes down his bad guy handler.

The VP takes down his bad guy Secret Service agent.

The terrorists get ready to take down 18,000 average Americans.

Sprint takes down 8,000 employees, but you can still get exclusive 24 info on your Sprint phone.

And, yes, the FBI chick was saved by a phone call from Jack to Chloe and Bill. On his Sprint phone.

How audacious

Today, I found, I simply had no room for cynicism.

Who can we trust?

The First Man's secret service agent is in on the plot that killed his son and now he's about to kill him and the daughter-in -law.

The FBI chick tortures some guy to get info.

The chief FBI guy wants to cover it up, because, you know, he likes the FBI chick.

Jack, we can trust Jack. He tries to fake the assassination of the FBI chick but then is ordered to bury her. Eyes wide open as dirt covers her face. But Jack threw plastic sheeting over her first to keep the dirt out of her air passages.

But what's with the silent clock?

DUH!

"Possibly, Citigroup bit off too much too quickly to make it work," Ely said. "It was more focused on doing deals ... and not focused on the nitty gritty of integration and execution, of making it work day in and day out."

From some article about Citigroup breaking up.

And I think the same can be said for many companies and individuals.

Looking forward to a new era of responsibility.

So this says something about my mental state lately

I didn't even know it was supposed to snow today.

Of course, my first thought was copyright infringement?

But fun. Toy-A-Day

Found in some library blog because of this.

If you can't make the inauguration.

Upcoming movie.

Not very process oriented, either, I suppose.

But fun.

CIP device - who knew?

Tony - was bad, did some very bad stuff. Now, good. Working outside the government with former CTU chief Bill and, of course, Chloe. They drag Jack into their little scheme.

Connections. And the root of all evil - the investment banker. Seems the Pres. son found something funny going on off shore related to the evil general of the African nation and he's gone. Ties in the Pres. cabinet. Can you say Chief of Staff?

So what is it that made Tony see the light? A thing called a CIP device. Technology. Once again used for evil. When will we learn.

I <3 Jack!

Oh, how I missed seeing the digital clock and hearing those wonderful tones!

Even as he is facing a Senate hearing without counsel (Jack doesn't need counsel), the country can't make it without him and he is pressed into service by the FBI.

Homegrown terrorists have found a way past the firewall protecting all of our infrastructure and are taking over air traffic control. Can you say near- miss?

Meanwhile, the US is about to make their presence felt in an African civil war. No gun shy lady President this one.

And, did the President's son commit suicide? (Uh, no.)

How will all these things tie together as we know they will?

Oh, Tony how could you! Have you gone to the dark side?

Tony and Jack smack-down.

And yes, it seems the bad African General is behind the terrorism. Duh.

Chloe, where are you?

2 more hours tomorrow!

Worth finding a chunk of time to go see on the big screen

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Or, I should say it was for me. It's long, it's quiet and I was ready for that and maybe even need that. I actually liked it more than I thought I would.

Also screened recently - Slumdog Millionaire
Also enjoyable.

Not making me happy is the new food and movie format at the theater in my backyard. It made me happy to have the multiscreen so close with the ability to have all the small or grown-up movies. I like to go at less crowded and less expensive times. But now, many of those movies are in the new concept areas with food. And they cost more because you are forced to pay an upcharge to eat. I don't want to eat. It was dark and it's hard to enjoy food if you can't see it and the toppings on your flatbread pizza fall off. Not to mention the beverage glass was so big, I needed two hands to hold it. So, I guess I have to check week to week to see what's playing in the old style rooms. Or drive across town. But then you're paying for the gas and all. Not happy.
